Design your league program, then price it
One weeknight or five — it is the same thing. Work through who it is for, the format, the schedule, the price and your capacity, and see what a full season is actually worth.
One night or five — it is the same thing. Work down the five steps; the numbers on the right move as you go.
You discounted to 60% and the same inventory earns 120% of rack — because a bay holds more than one paying team. A discount is only a loss if those bays would otherwise have sold.
A mix of abilities
- A standing night, every week
leagueType: FixedDayA standing night is the appeal — the same people, the same time, every week.
- One start time for everyone
slotsEnabled: falseEveryone tees off together, so there is one start time to communicate and one leaderboard to watch.
- Teams of 2
playersPerTeam: 2Pairs are what golfers ask for most, and two pairs share a bay — the single biggest lever on what the night earns.
- Best ball, stroke
scoringFormat: BestBallStrokeEach golfer plays their own ball and the team takes the better score. Rewards good golf without letting one bad hole end the night.
- Against the field
contestFormat: TournamentClassicNobody is eliminated and the standings always read, which is what keeps a mixed field turning up in week ten.
- Nine holes
roundType: NineHoleTwo hours means two hours. It is the format that keeps a weeknight a weeknight.
- Handicapped, full allowance
isHandicapped: true · handicapPercentage: 80 · seasoningWeeks: 2A beginner has to still be in it in week ten. 2 sessions of seasoning first, so one odd round does not set the tone.
- Skins alongside the league
SideGame: SkinsThe side game golfers actually ask for. It gives every hole something at stake without touching the standings.
- Prize pool at 20%, paid in store credit
prizeStructure: Custom · payoutType: StoreCreditA smaller pool paid in credit beats a big one paid in cash: credit comes back through the door and gets spent, and golfers turn up for the night and the standings rather than the money.
- The photo scorecard scan only reads scramble cards. This format is entered hole by hole on the phone.
- Automatic score capture is GolfZon only. Every other venue enters scores by phone or photo.
- Closest-to-pin and longest-drive are not scored by Fareway. Publish the challenge calendar here; judge and award it in the room.
- There is no cross-venue league. Two venues means two identically configured leagues, not one competition.
- A 20% prize pool is entered in Hub as a Custom prize structure — the league wizard only presets 50% and 100%.
